Jitka se narodila s velmi těžkou skoliózou páteře a téměř celé své dětství strávila v nerjůznějších nemocnicích a léčebnách.  Její tatínek se nešťastnou náhodou otrávil a dědeček spáchal sebevraždu.  Jitčin první manžel ji týral a ten druhý zase opustil ještě před tím, než se jí narodil syn Martin. Když hledala novou lásku, narazila na podvodníka, který ji okradl téměř o vše. Jako žena v invalidním důchodu si připadá Jitka zbytečná a ošklivá. Velmi ráda by našla nového životního partnera a dobrou práci.
